In a stunning move that sent waves of excitement through the worldwide MCU fandom, Disney+ recently dropped the trailer for the second season of “I Am Groot.” The surprise reveal has ignited fervent speculation, fueled by the intriguing hints and glimpses offered in the trailer’s short yet impactful duration.
The first season of “I Am Groot” had already captured the hearts of Marvel comics fans with its unique storytelling approach, centering around the lovable and enigmatic sentient tree from the Guardians of the Galaxy universe. This unexpected character-focused series featured Groot in various scenarios and adventures, proving that even a single phrase can convey a plethora of emotions and experiences. THE NEW TRAILER
Clocking in at a little over a minute, the Season 2 trailer is a masterclass in building anticipation. The clip begins with Baby Groot playing with an action figure of Steve Rogers and a can in a make-shift, make-believe tent on what seems like the massive starship of the Ravagers. Like the first season, the events of I Am Groot: Season 2 take place between the events of the first and second Guardians of the Galaxy movies. The trailer continues with a mix of action, humor, and emotional moments as the Guardians of the Galaxy’s youngest member faces new challenges and villains. First he rockets in a small space vessel past Uatu, The Watcher. Longtime Guardians fans know that the very first live-action appearance of The Watchers (a group of powerful aliens intent on passively watching history go by) occurred in The Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, complete with a cameo from Stan Lee!
Next, Baby Groot eyeballs a massive alien version of your local summer ice cream truck, but sadly realizes he lacks any funds to purchase the sweet treats. To compensate he prepares a delicious mug of hot chocolate, complete with marshmallows and whipped cream. The trailer quickly switches scenes where we find Baby Groot playing with a snowman, dealing with an immense stature overflowing with lava, and Groot befriending an adorable hot pink and orange bird! Finally we witness Groot utilize an orange nose which grants him the power of smell. Upon realizing that he reeks of body odor, Groot wisely employs a can of spray deodorant to neutralize his body ordor.

As fans dissect every frame of the trailer, theories and speculations are already running rampant. Some believe that the new snippets reveal a deeper exploration of the cosmic lore that underpins the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Others speculate that Groot’s own backstory, which has remained shrouded in mystery, might finally receive the spotlight it deserves.
