Cowabunga Dude! Paramount+ has rolled out the all-new 2D animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The entire 12-episode first season premiered on August 9 in the U.S. and Canada, and on August 10 in the U.K. and Australia. Produced by the creative minds at Nickelodeon Animation and Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, this series follows the success of last summer’s cinematic hit, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and is exclusive to Paramount+.
Set within the Mutant Mayhem movie universe, the show follows Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey as they trade the underground sewers for the streets of New York City. Battling new enemies and joining forces with familiar faces, the Turtles face the challenges of both adolescence and the sinister forces lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple.
Tales of the TMNT Cast
The cast from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is back! Micah Abbey (Cousins for Life) returns as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. (The Chi) as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu (The Walking Dead: World Beyond) as Leonardo, Brady Noon (Family Switch) as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) as the iconic April O’Neil.
Special guest stars for the series include Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) as Rod, a wealthy slacker obsessed with becoming a mutant, and Alanna Ubach (Ted) as Bishop, a brilliant but dangerous inventor convinced mutants are a threat to humanity—including the Turtles.
More of the star-studded guest lineup includes:
• Rose Byrne lends her voice to Leatherhead, a Mutanimal ally struggling to adapt to life in NYC. This Aussie crocodile, always ready with a shrimp for the barbie, loves her fellow mutants but is finding it tough to blend in.
• Natasia Demetriou voices Wingnut, a tech-savvy Mutanimal bat with a passion for anime and comics. Despite her genius, Wingnut’s terrified of the dark and a bit neurotic from too much doomscrolling—but she’s fiercely loyal to her friends.
• Post Malone plays Ray Fillet, a manta ray Mutanimal with a love for his mutant form and an even bigger love for singing his name. His musical talent may cause confusion, but when it’s crunch time, he’s always pitch-perfect.
